Puerto Varas: Und täglich grüßt der Vulkan Osorno

Endlich wieder daheim in Puerto Varas!

  1. Very nice :) Of course not like my kind of astronomy doesn’t have perks, we have lots of colleagues in Australia and South Africa so I’m going to a safari-conference in South Africa in July for example. But no volcanoes in either of those locations!

  2. I even met an optical Astronomer here in P.V., a Korean working in Germany! He was taking a vacation down south after visiting the European facilities in the Atacama. Maybe you should switch to looking at things (-;

    Might have had to do with the season, but I have to admit, I’m also in over my head in a „hate touristy things“ phase…

  3. Awesome- I really need to get to Chile sometime! Alas I’m not an optical astronomer though, so less excuses to go. :(

    Btw saw your comment on my blog about Bariloche and let’s just say I don’t think I’m a photography magician out of the two of us. :-p So maybe it had to do with the season? Cause springtime had loads of lovely flowers, looking over the pictures I took they really defined the landscape for me.
