In this diverse country in Central America, 3 weeks are a drop in the bucket.
My trip around the world was mostly in a comfortable pace. Only in India, I had to hurry, because 9 weeks of time for the sub-continent are a bad joke. 3 weeks in Mexico are not only a bad joke, it is madness.
una noche mas
one more night
is what I wanted to say
unfortunately, that was not possible
(not only because of my miserable Spanish)
- flying to save time – madness!
- skipping the railroad in the “Grander Canyon” – madness!
- continue travelling on an almost daily basis – madness!
- 3 days Mexico City, North America’s largest city – madness!
- not even enough time for blogging – madness!
The travel specs of my whirlwind tour through Mexico
- 3 weeks
- 3 countries
- 16 cities
- 1 world wonder
- 10 ruins with pyramides
- 2x couchsurfing
- 3x boat travel
- 20+x bus travel
- 13 beds
- 1 couch
- 1 night bus
- 1 hammock
This is not nearly as rad, as a tour of Europe organised by Chinese a la 12 countries in 15 days But it was certainly enough for me.
Don’t do this at home please! Without time pressure, I would have taken 3 weeks just for Yucatan and maybe 2 months for all of Mexico.

But Mexico didn’t want to be a makeshift destination and has quickly captured my travel heart:
Folks, Mexico is awesome!
That’s it folks, for Latin America and the world trip.
The appetizer has worked well:
